Griffin Chapman are pleased to announce that they have been awarded ACCA Approved Employer – Trainee Development Platinum status. This is in recognition of the support provided to ACCA trainees working towards the ACCA Qualification or Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) scheme.

Stuart has had a few quiet days at home whilst continuing with ongoing tests. He is back in Addenbrooke’s next week for his second course of chemotherapy.
We regret to inform you that Stuart Bennett has been diagnosed with Leukaemia. He is currently in Addenbrooke’s Hospital undergoing treatment and will therefore be absent from the office for the foreseeable future.
His fellow Partners and Senior Managers will be dealing with his workload in his absence. We can assure you we will continue to provide the service and expertise you rightly expect from Griffin Chapman.
The Education Funding Agency has published the Academies accounts direction 2013 to 2014 (Accounts Direction).
Academies, as with other schools will often transact with individuals that are governors or businesses that they are connected to. A vast majority of these transactions will be as a result of individuals being willing and able to provide the service that the academy needs whilst providing the best value for money that the academy could obtain. In some cases however, the acts of a few individuals can mar the public perception of what is going on in a vast majority of these schools.
The Employment Allowance of up to £2,000 is available to most employers from 6 April 2014. Employers can reduce the amount of National Insurance contributions (NICs) they pay for their employees by up to £2,000. This is called the 'Employment Allowance'.
Employers generally won't have to pay any employer National Insurance contributions at all if they usually pay less than £2,000 a year.
HMRC has updated the guidance on eligibility for the Employment Allowance.
