Geoff Tarr
Geoff was educated at Kingsbury County Grammar School in North-West London. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant after articles with a City firm. After a short spell in industry he returned to the profession and since 1978 has practiced in Colchester with Griffin Chapman and its predecessor firm.
He has broad general practice experience and is increasingly involved in consultancy, attending board meetings of clients to add a financial, taxation and commercial perspective.
Stuart Bennett
Joined the firm as a trainee in 1986 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1993. Became a partner in 1999 and has been steadily building his own client portfolio since then.
Has built up a broad experience in dealing with the needs of small and medium sized businesses and can offer practical business and taxation advice to clients of all sizes.
Enjoys sports and all aspects of fitness and is a keen triathlete who competes in many events annually.
Carolynn Pissarro
Carolynn Pissarro was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the Colchester area aged 5. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975 having taken articles in London. Subsequent to qualifying she worked for KPMG specialising in personal tax and trust work.
Carolynn had a break of 8 years before joining Griffin Chapman, during which time she had 2 children and worked with her husband and father in the family fruit farm business. Carolynn is a member of the Institute's Faculty of Taxation and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practicioners.
Neil Raven
Neil joined the firm in 1981 having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Kidsons the previous year.
Acts as a general practitioner but has specialist knowledge covering legal, pension scheme, charitable and resident management company sectors. Neil is an ex rock climber/mountaineer now reduced to scrambling and walking.
